1. Students completed a checklist on whether Fences is a tragedy (Here’s the checklist: Tragedy checklist).
2. Next, we did a physical poll to communicate the results of the checklist.
3. Students then organized into teams to present their opinions on whether Fences is a tragedy or not (according to Aristotle) in debate format.
4. Next, we started talking about how writing essays are exactly like making arguments. We are going to begin learning how to write short text-analysis paragraphs. We began by taking notes on W13, ACEIT and Fences fill in the ACEIT.
