High school creative writers collaborated with the guitar program to created a spoken-word album produced by JAMM, a student musician. This month-long project incorporated concept brainstorming, group writing sessions, meeting with musicians, recording on professional software, and designing an album insert featuring student artwork.
COLLABORATION: VISUAL ART + WRITING PROCESS
Creative writing and intermediate 2D students collaborated in a multi-week exploration of how artists and writers integrate process into their thinking. The collaboration kicked off with a TASK party, then students formed groups based on thematic interests. Over the course of the next few weeks, small groups developed their own processes that culminated in a gallery show.
