While Ms. Garvoille was trapped in the O’Hare airport for 24 hours, her students carried on! Here’s what we did:
1A had a day to work on their motif journals and/or reading. All students should read through the end of Chapter 5 for Wednesday. Honors should have 3 journal entries complete by then and Regular should have 2 journal entries complete. Regular: Remember, you can skip the chapters listed on your bookmark! As you read, remember to fill out your Reading Guide that you have folded up in your book.
The next reading will be due next week Tuesday. You will have to read through the end of Part I and complete 1 more motif journal entry on any part of those chapters.
If you are reading Other Voices, Other Rooms, remember to finish reading Chapter 1 by Wednesday and read through the end of Chapter 3 by next Tuesday.
4A did something a little different. We completed this One-Pager Activity on Chapter 1 of To Kill a Mockingbird. This was due at the end of class. Homework is to finish reading through the end of Chapter 5 by Wednesday. If you are reading Other Voices, Other Rooms, you should also read Chapter 1 by Wednesday. The next reading will be due next week Tuesday. You will have to read through the end of Part I in To Kill a Mockingbird and through the end of Chapter 3 in Other Voices, Other Rooms.
