First, we discussed the final project. Students will 1) write an analysis of a famous work of art inspired by Romeo and Juliet (click r & j above for choices), and 2) create their own artistic interpretation of that same scene of Romeo and Juliet.
1. Oral reading quiz. We reviewed Act IV with a reading quiz.
2. Scene analysis of IV.ii. Students received a copy of an excerpt of Act 4, scene 2. We read the excerpt aloud and then filled out an analysis of the scene similar to that students must fill out for the scene they choose for their final project.
HW: Complete first page of prewriting for final project. Read Act V, scene i for tomorrow.
