1. Students finished deciding on what their problem question was.
2. Next, we completed an idea chart on paper to come up with as many possible explanations as we could.
3. Occasionally, students were asked to pause and reflect on their group’s discussion.
HW: None for tonight. We won’t be able to do the rough draft of our paragraphs until tomorrow in class.
After school, we did an extra credit session where we watched the 2012 version of Great Expectations. SO FUN! Look forward to more movie nights later in the year! It was fascinating to see how Mike Newell handled the ambiguity of Dickens’ revised ending:
