You know what Hamlet said . . .
To be, or not to be – that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The lowered grade of boring verb choice
Or to take action ‘gainst a sea of to-be’s,
And by opposing end them.
– Hamlet, III.i
Today, we started by opposing to be verbs!
1. Students picked up this sheet (G1) and we worked through it together in class (not for a grade): Not-to-be.
2. Next, we took some notes on Flashback using this sheet: Flashback (W8).
HW: None. We will continue to work on our memoirs during class. The full rough draft will be due Monday and the full final draft will be due the following Friday, October 3.
