Today we had a graded class discussion on Of Mice and Men, Waiting for Godot, and “One’s a Crowd.” Students turned in their articles and annotations, though some of them did not finish and will have to come to mandatory lunch remediation tomorrow (they received passes today).
We discussed these questions:
- Does solitude or companionship bring more happiness?
- Isn’t it better to be alone and only have to watch out for yourself?
- What are the effects of increased individualism on our society?
HW: Read your coming-of-age novel and bring it to class tomorrow. Optional: Honors project on Of Mice and Men due Monday.
