1. Finishing winter tableaus. Students turned in progress reports and then I checked everyone’s winter tableau sentence for punctuation accuracy. Then, the students copied their perfect, purple prose sentences onto a card with their name on the back. We will post these.
2. Prepositional phrases. If students finished their winter tableau early, they wrote out 44 prepositional phrases (one for each preposition we learned). A prepositional phrase usually ends with a noun. (about a boy, above my head, across the ill-lit street, etc.)
3. Preposition Writing. Students received W25: Preposition Writing. We started taking notes and practicing writing with prepositions. We will finish this next week.
No homework this weekend!
