Today we met in the Media Center, where Ms. Fowler took half the class to work on symbolism and Ms. Garvoille took the other half to continue working on similes and metaphors.
Students received this planning sheet to help them identify recurring objects in their memoir that could become meaningful symbols: Symbolism in Memoir PDF and Symbolism in Memoir BACK- PDF.
Students typed up their similes and metaphors writing on GoogleDocs, highlighting in yellow the words from their chart from yesterday.
