Today we went to the media center to work on our revisions:
1. Google Docs. Students opened up a Google Document. Here are directions: GoogleDoc Setup. If you are working on this at home, you can ignore the second page of the document.
2. The MLA Format Header Song! Ask your kids about this one! Used for every English class from here to eternity. “My name – Your name – Class comma Period – Due date Month Year!”
3. Share. Students shared their GoogleDoc with me (alexa.garvoille@gmail.com), Ms. Fowler (fowleram@appstate.edu), and their writing partners.
4. Work. Students started revising (rewriting) the pieces they read in their groups yesterday by typing them into their GoogleDoc.
HW: Quiz grade — students need to finish typing their revisions in GoogleDocs this weekend then print out their document for Tuesday.
