1. Personification homework. Students labeled the different personification techniques used in the poem they wrote for homework. We then turned in the poem and the annotation.
2. TP-CASTT practice. TP-CASTT is a method of analyzing a poem to break it down into something more comprehensible. Here is a sheet explaining it: TPCASTT. We reviewed the different steps by applying them to the William Wordsworth poem, “A Slumber Did My Spirit Seal” (L30):
