- Students had 10 minutes of what I’m calling free reading. It’s student choice (free reign!), there are no reading logs or EOBs or AR quizzes (it’s for free!), and it releases reading from the dungeon of difficult texts (#freereading from its chains!). Novels and nonfiction are both welcome.
- Next, we either visually analyzed a quilt or began reading “Everyday Use” together aloud.
HW: Finish reading and annotating “Everyday Use” for tomorrow.
