Students received this calendar for the next month: Poetry Calendar 2015 (I5)
- In their writing notebooks, students answered the following questions: “How would you define poetry? What is it useful for? Why do people read and write poetry?” We discussed our answers to these questions.
- Next, we examined a poem together using the TPCASTT method.
- Then, students broke out into groups or partners to annotate and TPCASTT a poem together. We collected this at the end of class. If you were absent, you need to see Ms. Garvoille to get a copy of the poem.
