Today was all about structuring our memoirs. We have written lots of scenes, but how will we put them together?
- We met in our book clubs to examine our mentor text memoir structures using this sheet: Memoir Structure Homework Sheet (front only).
- Students then received W9: Memoir Structures notes and info sheet. We talked over a few of these structures, then students worked on
- Students shared out at the board what they answered for #7 and #8.
- Finally, we returned to our seats and students chose a structure from W9 that will work for their memoir. On an exit slip, students explained what structure they would use and how it relates to the meaning of their story.
