Wednesday, December 10: Reading Day

1. We briefly discussed how to handle difficult vocabulary as we read.

2. Students decided how they would take notes for their “motif logs.” Students must find one passage in each chapter they read, from Ch. 11 to the end of the novel, that’s related to their motif. They must mark the passage, either in their book with pencil, on a sticky note put into the book, or recorded on a sheet of paper. In addition to marking the passage, they should write a short sentence about how it relates to their motif.

3. Silent reading time!

HW: Finish reading through chapter 10 by Thursday.
