Today we took notes on thesis statements and came up with our very own!
1. Preposition review. We danced out the Mondays with our preposition dance.
2. Thesis notes. We took notes on W15 on thesis statements: Thesis Statements.
3. Developing a thesis. Students discussed questions, confusions, annoyances, or problems they had with To Kill a Mockingbird and developed those into thesis statements using this guided handout (W16): Writing a Thesis Statement
HW: Finish W16 (front and back) for tomorrow. Each group member should have the same thesis statement, but it’s okay if you revise them in slightly different ways.
