Today we had our last day of workshopping in class before the final draft of the memoir is due. Today we continued reading aloud, taking notes, and giving feedback at the end of each chapter. If students had finished reading and critiquing early, they could continue writing new scenes, make changes to their rough draft, or work on editing their work with the self-editing folder, which included directions on revision dialogue, punctuation, capitalization, show don’t tell, tense, and much more.
HW: Revise your rough draft over the weekend using the feedback from your workshop. Save your revisions on GoogleDocs or bring the file with you to class on Monday (via flash drive or emailing yourself). No need to print another paper copy yet.
