1. Wordskills. Students took notes on the word parts “dis, di, dif” and “endo.” We learned the SAT word “disdain.” If you were absent, you can get the notes here.
2. Characterization Notes. Students took notes on L4: Characterization. We discussed indirect characterization (DAD: dialogue, action, description), then began planning how we could use description to hint at our feelings about a person we are describing.
HW: Eavesdropping – Listen to two minutes of any real-life conversation and write down everything you hear, especially the stutters, ums, likes, and other natural mumblings.
