1. Annotate your own passage on L22. As students received their weekly syllabi, they annotated L22 (Step 2 on the worksheet).
2. Have someone else in your motif group respond to your annotations. We switched papers, and responded to someone else’s annotations (Step 3).
3. Theme writing. After a brief review of theme, we gathered in our motif groups to write what the theme of each passage was.
