Day 9: Reviewing terms and gaining vocab

Today, students received their new Weekly Syllabus.

  1. Turn in memoir revision. Students should staple the Writing Workshop #1 sheet on top of the Typed Revision on top of the Rough Draft on top of the Prewriting (if any).
  2. Literary Bingo. We reviewed imagery, theme, symbolism, and diction through Bingo while listening to a memoir written by a student from last year. We then wrote theme statements for the memoir and discussed symbolism.
  3. WordSkills notes. Some classes took notes on a few more vocabulary words.
